Bring the Zoo to Your School

Let Roger Williams Park Zoo bring the Zoo to you!

Educators from the Zoo will engage the students in one of our outreach programs where they will meet some of our cutest animal ambassadors like turtles, lizards, snakes, and hedgehogs.

Our programs are designed to meet the needs of students Pre-K through high school, and are tailored for the specific audience:

• Young students will have opportunities to observe, ask questions, and make connections to their own experiences while building empathy for animals and the natural world.
• Elementary students will be encouraged to observe and make inferences as they figure out how the function of structural and behavioral adaptations help animals survive and meet their needs.
• Middle and high school students will be encouraged to observe and make inferences as they dive deeper into understanding ecosystem dynamics, interdependant relationships, and the role of humans.

Through interactive educational presentations and live ?animals interviews,? the Zoomobile carries a message of compassion for all living things along with a greater understanding of our wonder-filled planet.

Arrangements should be made through the Rhode Island Zoological Society's Education Department and are based on availability. The winning bidder may select one of our many Zoomobile program options. This program may be repeated up to 4 times and must be scheduled for the same day, at the same school. Arrangements must be made with RI Zoological Society at least one month prior to requested date.

For the health and safety of the animals, we must limit class size to 25 children. Expires July 1, 2025.

For programs outside of a 20-mile radius of the zoo, additional mileage fees are as follows (limited to 55 mile radius):

20-34 miles- $20
35-55 miles- $40

Gift certificate will be mailed to winning bidder upon auction close.
