Artist Statement:
The Ouroboros is the western counterpart to Yin Yang. Both depict a cyclic dance between order and chaos that my cod aims to represent. The eye and hand show the cod capturing itself much like the Ouroboros. The waves are Yin: the black unknown and the golden nautical pattern is Yang: stability.
Artist Biography:
Hello I'm Austin. I'm a college student, Marblehead resident of 18 years, and more relevantly and hopefully self evidently a dabbling artist. This is my first time submitting a cod to the festival of the arts. Hopefully, you enjoy looking at my odd creation as much as I did making it.

Item Special Note
Pick-up of purchased cods will be July 13 from 12-3 and July 14 from 3-6 at Sagan Harborside Sotheby's 1 Essex St, Marblehead. The winning bidder will receive a notification email with information including pick-up time and location.
If the winning bidder requires shipping, their credit card will be charged a separate $35 fee to cover USPS ground and handling. Shipping is available within the U.S. only and must be requested within 7 days after receipt of the notification email.
If the winning bidder has not picked up their cod (or provided shipping address) within 30 days after the close of the auction, the cod will become the property of Marblehead Festival of Arts, Inc.
