Artist Statement:
In choosing clay as a medium, I was able to emphasize on the modernistic curves of the seaweed. I chose to paint the cod a glimmering gold, hoping the viewer may glimpse the shimmering currents of possibility, the promise of renewal and growth.
Artist Biography:
Heather has lived in Marblehead for thirty years with her husband, nieces, and sons. She creates in many mediums, with sculpture, woodwork, painting, and jewelry making being her current focus. As a Naval Architect and living in this beautiful town, she often draws to the sea for inspiration.

Item Special Note
Pick-up of purchased cods will be July 13 from 12-3 and July 14 from 3-6 at Sagan Harborside Sotheby's 1 Essex St, Marblehead. The winning bidder will receive a notification email with information including pick-up time and location.
If the winning bidder requires shipping, their credit card will be charged a separate $35 fee to cover USPS ground and handling. Shipping is available within the U.S. only and must be requested within 7 days after receipt of the notification email.
If the winning bidder has not picked up their cod (or provided shipping address) within 30 days after the close of the auction, the cod will become the property of Marblehead Festival of Arts, Inc.
