Artist Statement:
I am acutely aware of the historical and financial significance that our fishermen and the cod have played in Marblehead and our nation. This is my modern day take on the Golden Cod. I thought it would be a clever play to decorate it in Benjamins - the cod is swimming in cash!
Artist Biography:
I was born and raised in this beautiful town and a member of the Old North Church. The Golden Cod has been in my vernacular since I can remember. It only seems fitting to create a cod with that in mind. This was a family affair that could have happened without everyone's ideas and inspiration.

Item Special Note
Pick-up of purchased cods will be July 13 from 12-3 and July 14 from 3-6 at Sagan Harborside Sotheby's 1 Essex St, Marblehead. The winning bidder will receive a notification email with information including pick-up time and location.
If the winning bidder requires shipping, their credit card will be charged a separate $35 fee to cover USPS ground and handling. Shipping is available within the U.S. only and must be requested within 7 days after receipt of the notification email.
If the winning bidder has not picked up their cod (or provided shipping address) within 30 days after the close of the auction, the cod will become the property of Marblehead Festival of Arts, Inc.
