Artist Statement:
I wanted to approach painting the whale as if it were a large piece of pottery, using a similar technique I use when painting my ceramics: a combination of brush strokes and a detail line applied with a squeeze bottle.

Stephanie works in a variety of mediums, specializing in hand-painted ceramics and stitched mixed-media paintings. Inspired by nature, balancing graphic design and playful pattern, Stephanie creates timeless, intuitive works of art that reflect her imagination.
