Artist Statement:

At first glance, you see the surface of the ocean with curling waves, and then you see the silhouette of the whale. The artist is challenging us all to look beneath the surface to see beauty and mystery everywhere. The ocean is 71% of the earth only 5% has been explored!

Artist Biography:

Heather has lived in Marblehead for thirty years with her husband, nieces, and sons. She creates in many mediums, with sculpture, woodwork, painting, and jewelry making being her current focus. As a Naval Architect and living in this beautiful town, she often draws to the sea for inspiration.
