George Machon has been lobstering in Cape Cod Bay since his early teens. After retirement he has studied marine art with , Robert Roark , Lance Walker and Steve Kennedy. His lobster prints have been donated to the Mass lobstermen's association , and some prints are on display at the State House, Marine Fisheries and the NOAA office in Washington. He is a member of the Chatham Creative Arts Center, Provincetown Art Association ,Cape Cod At Center in Barnstable and the Sandwich Art Alliance.
