Ginger Drinkwater lives in the original home she shared with her husband, photographer Harry Drinkwater., in Venice, California. She was born in Los Angeles, and when she was 30, she decided to leave Los Angeles and live around Venice Beach, which has always been a central part of her life. Ginger describes Venice as a former great art community when the pressure to survive was not there. She has been painting Venice landmarks for the past 60 years, especially the life and time of its boardwalk.
