Item Description

Our place is a 1980's barn/woodshop that never housed animals that has been converted into a lovely three bedroom home.We are 20 minutes from Rikert 2019 hosts of the Bill Koch Festival and the Middlebury College Snow Bowl. The place is light and airy with southern and eastern sun.The main living room has 13 foot ceilings with lots of couches, arm chairs and places to hang out, read and or relax. We are in the heart of the Green Mountains with skiing and colleges, an easy drive from the house.

The space
The place is tastefully decorated with antiques and family pieces. Two of the bedrooms have king sized beds with the third room has a queen sized bed all of which are very comfortable. The entire house is covered with carpets except for the kitchen. Wall to wall carpeting intermixed with oriental rugs in different parts of the house. We expect people to respect the place and treat it as nicely as they would their own home.

Guest access
There is a full service kitchen that folks can use that is a part of the main living space, coffee makers, tea supplies and all the utensils and cookware to create and or serve any and all meals. Rochester has Mac's which is the local market/grocery downtown that comes with a full meat market, liquor store and a very nice selection of organic meats and produce. Rochester also has North Hollow Farm which raises grass fed beef, chicken and pork as well as fresh eggs. North Hollow has a farm store on Route 100 a quarter mile north of Quarry Hill Road and the USFS Service.

Other things to note
The house is covered with carpets and we would appreciate it if folks brought slippers and did not wear their street shoes in the house. There is a mudroom as you enter from the drive where folks can change their footwear. There is also a hanging rack on the back porch where folks can hang their skis if they are taking them off of our out of their cars at the end of the day.
