Item Description
The red-breasted merganser inhabits waters along the Atlantic coast. It is home of the most colorful yel elusive of ducks in North America. Wooden decoys have become highly sought after by collectors, prices reaching into the thousands of dollas. Decorators have used old wooden decoys to enhance home decor throughout the world. Decoys have a rich and lengthy history datting back 1000 years. They represent a uniquily American folk art form. This particular example of the North American red-breasted merganser is an accurate representation of a working decoy.
