Item Description
Framed artwork by Craig Ferre, 5 X 9 Painted Wood Block, "Left Point"
A Santa Monica native, he started surfing in 1963 at ten and is still a beach bum at heart. His love of surfing, the beauty of the surrounding beaches and mountains, and portraiture led him to be a nationally recognized photographer, owning CFP Studio for 34 years until he sold the photography business to two of his employees in 2017. Inspired by surfboard builders like Guy Okazaki, Scott Anderson, and Tyler Hatzikian, Craig decided to learn surfboard shaping. He started Surf King Surfboards in 2006, which continued until just a few years ago. Now retired from photography and surfboard building, Craig feeds his creative spirit by creating ocean-themed artwork. He has worked with epoxy resing, acrylic paints, and wood carving.
