Item Description
Known for his incredible 26' foot tall "American Dog" statue that started it all near Exit 48 in Haverhill - Dale Rogers has been a long time supporter of our event and we are so grateful! His talent is incredible!
This auction item includes a 12" tall tabletop version of the American Dog sculpture (safe for indoor or outdoor use), a keychain version of the American Dog sculpture, and a copy of the hardcover book "Exit 48: The Art of Never Giving Up".
This book tells the story of metal sculptor Dale Rogers and his memories and experiences that led him to create the American Dog, New England’s most iconic sculpture. His journey begins when a young farm boy with a learning disability, Dale, discovers a means to cope with his surroundings. It chronicles his challenges as he drifts into adulthood and travels around the world, culminating with Dale’s dedicating himself to his passion for artistic expression and fulfilling his dream of becoming a successful metal artist. Exit 48 is a story filled with emotion, whimsy, and persistence that the Big Dog represents.
