Item Description
Shoes will be worn during WNBA game on August 1st vs. Los Angeles Sparks and autographed postgame. Shoes are size 9 Adidas Harden 9s. Custom sneakers designed and hand painted by artist Takiyah Ward at Re-Sole 206.
These shoes focus on mental health, as an issue that Zia is passionate about. Written in black against the green design are encouraging phrases and reminders: "the goal is to be physically loose and mentally tight...you are stronger than you think...to win you must beat self-doubt...I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me...you don't play against opponents you play against the game of basketball...rather quit or keep going it's going to be hard...never too high or too low just maintain"
Item Special Note
If present in the arena, the winning bidder may pick up the shoes in person from Zia immediately after the game on August 1st. Winners will be emailed immediately upon conclusion of the auction and given instructions on where to meet Storm staff for this opportunity if they are at Climate Pledge Arena.
